Story

The murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis, Minnesota police officers outraged and polarized our nation. The community of Forest Park was no different and we wanted our voices to be heard in support of Floyd’s legacy and against police brutality. A group called Forest Park Against Racism was quickly formed to organize a march against police violence and as a founding member of FPAR I was tasked with developing the group’s identity.

This collaborative endeavor resulted in brandmarks, T-shirts, banners and posters used by thousands of Forest Park community members during a peaceful march against racism on Juneteenth. Gratitude to my FPAR team, Mayor Rory Hoskins and residents of Forest Park for embracing this initiative.
