Story

One field, one ball. One game for all. All they needed was one brand identity. Longtime friend, previous writing partner, collaborator and soccer enthusiast John Cockrell asked if I’d design a new identity for this well-serving cause. After seeing what they'd been using to represent themselves at the time, I couldn’t resist the offer.

As stated on the Project One Goal’s website, children everywhere love soccer and experience the same positive benefits from playing. All that differs is the chances they’re given to play—the children in under-served communities don’t often get them.

Project One Goal exists to create equal chances for boys and girls in those communities, by hosting structured soccer camps that sharpen skills, provide positive role models and teach lessons for life. The brandmark Lb+d developed helps visually project the organization’s mission by making soccer the hero and supported by One Goal. I developed a variety of lockups for use in a variety of instances in spaces.
